THEE QUEST – PERFECT HEALTH – SMOOTHIES – RECIPES


 

BLUEBERRY SMOOTHIE

– 2 cups almond milk (see recipe below)

– 2 bananas chopped

– 1 cup frozen blueberries

– 1 cup water

– add 2 handfuls of grapes (red, green or black) optional, makes it sweeter for kids

Mix together all ingredients in blender and add water to desired consistency.

Note:  We always add 2 tablespoons of grounded flax seeds to our smoothies for the omega-3.



 

ALMOND MILK

– 1 cup raw natural almonds (soaked in water overnight)

– pinch of salt

– 1 tablespoon agave nectar or natural maple syrup or natural honey ( you can buy at health food store)

– 6-8 drops of almond extract

– 4 cups of water

Drop almonds in blender and add 1 cup of water to start mixing, add salt, agave nectar and almond extract. Mix well.

Add water 1cup at a time until you have added the remaining 3 cups.


 

 

 

PINEAPPLE PEAR SMOOTHIE (This is one of Our favorite)

– 2 cups almond milk

– 1 cup fresh pineapple chunks

– 1 pear chopped (we prefer the Asian pear) core and peel removed

– 2 bananas

– 1 cup water or ice

Drop all ingredients one a time in blender and mix well.

Note:  Don’t forget your grounded flax seed (2 tbsp.) for your omega-3.


 

 

POMEGRANATE BLUEBERRY SMOOTHIE

– 2 cups almond milk

– 2/3 cup pomegranate-blueberry juice (in grocery store)

– 1 cup frozen or fresh blueberries

– 2 bananas

– 1 cup water or ice

Drop ingredients one at a time in blender and mix well.

Don’t forget to add your grounded flax seed.


CHERRY WITH A SPOONFUL OF COCOA SMOOTHIE

– 1  cup fresh cherries pitted

– 2 bananas

– 2 cups almond milk

– 1 tsp. cocoa powder

– 1 medium apple(we always use the gala, it’s sweeter) chopped and core removed

You can add honey if you don’t find it sweet enough.

Blend all ingredients in blender and add water to desired consistency .

 

YUMMY WATERMELON SMOOTHIE

– 2 cups chopped                          watermelon

– 2 bananas

– 1 peach,  pit removed, peeled and chopped

– 1 cup ice  or water

Drop ingredients in blender,  enjoy. You can always add your grounded flax seed (2 tbsp.) for your omega-3.

MANGO-PINEAPPLE SMOOTHIE

– 1 cup pineapple diced

– 1 cup diced mango

– 1 banana sliced

– 2 tsp. fresh lime juice

– 1/2 teaspoon grated fresh ginger root

– ice cubes ( approximately 3 )

In blender combine all ingredients and blend until mixture is smooth.

YUMMY GRAPE SMOOTHIE

– 2 cups grapes ( red, black or green)

– 2 cups almond milk

– 1 apple quartered and cored

– 2 bananas sliced

In blender combine all ingredients and blend until mixture is smooth.

STRAWBERRY AND CHERRY SMOOTHIE

– 1 cup strawberries

– 1 cup cherries      

– 1 pear peeled and cored

– 2 cups almond milk

– mint leaves (optional)

In blender combine all ingredients and blend until mixture is smooth.


CANTALOUPE – PEACH SMOOTHIE

– 2 cups almond milk

– 2 cups diced cantaloupe

– 1 cup peach

– 1 lime

– 2 bananas sliced

– honey to taste ( about 1 tbsp.)

From lime, grate 1/2 tsp. peel and squeeze 2 tbsp. juice.

In blender, combine all ingredients and blend until smooth.

GRAPEFRUIT – CRANBERRY SMOOTHIE


– 1 pink grapefruit peeled and quartered

– 3/4 cup cranberries fresh or frozen

– 1 apple cored and quartered

– ice cubes or very cold water

Juice your grapefruit and cranberries in juicer.

Add your apple and ice cubes in blender and blend together.

PEACH – PEAR SMOOTHIE
– 1 banana, chopped
– 1 cup almond milk
– 1 peach (pitted, peeled and chopped)
– 1 pear, peeled and chopped
–  pinch of cinnamon
Add all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth.

COCONUT MILK SMOOTHIE

– 1 Banana, chopped

– 1 cup pure coconut milk

– 1 cup fresh pineapple chunks

–  ice cubes or very cold water for desired consistency

Add all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth.

BANANA SMOOTHIE

– 1 Banana, chopped

– 1 apple peeled, cored and chopped

– 1 cup almond milk

– 1 tbsp. maple syrup

–  pinch of cinnamon

Add all the ingredients in blender and blend until smooth.

TOMATO SMOOTHIE

– 1 large tomato chopped

– 1/2 cup celery chopped

– 1 cup spinach chopped

– 3 or 4 ice cubes or very cold water

– Salt and Pepper to taste

Drop all the ingredients in blender and blend with water until desired consistency.

ORANGE OR CLEMENTINE SMOOTHIE

– 1 cup orange or clementine segment

– 1 cup cubed fresh or frozen pineapples

– 2 bananas, sliced

– 2 cups almond milk

Add all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth.
* I added a pinch of nutmeg and loved it.

RASPBERRY SMOOTHIE

– 2 cups almond milk

– 1 cup frozen or fresh raspberries

– 1 cup frozen or fresh strawberries

-2 bananas sliced

Drop all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth.

DREAMY MIXED BERRIES SMOOTHIE

– 2 cups almond milk

– 1 and 1/2 cups mixed berries frozen (store bought)

– 2 bananas sliced

Add all ingredients in blender and blend adding water a little at a time until you have reached desired consistency.
